2007 Bodybuilding National Championships

After a very successful 2006 bodybuilding season the IFBB-MALTA would like to announce that the 2007 Bodybuilding National Championships will be held on August 25, 2007 at Sir Temi Zammit Hall, University of Malta. The top two overall will be representing Malta at the Mediterranean Championships being held in Syria between September 5 and September 9, 2007.
The Mediterranean Championships will be held in the Syrian port and holiday resort Latakia, located 350km north of Damascus. The Syrian Federation had organised the 1988 and 1990 Arab Championships at this location.
In 1988 Latakia was host to the 1988 Mediterranean Games and a large, multi-purpose sport complex called Al-Assad Sport City has been built for such a purpose, including a indoor stadium of that can accommodate 5000 spectators. The Latakia indoor stadium will be the venue of the Mediterranean championships.
