Q I AM a female bodybuilder. I used to have a boyfriend who was into it and that is how I took it up. My problem is that I don't want sex any more. I don't enjoy anything much, except the gym.
I'm not gay because I don't fancy other women. I just don't fancy anyone. What worries me is that's what spilt me and my ex up.
He just didn't feel like sex any more. He said it was his hormones. Do you think I am going the same way? Don't tell me to give up bodybuilding - it is my life. But I wouldn't want to think I'd never have sex again. I am 27.
A THERE'S a theory that people, male and female, can become addicted to exercise, including bodybuilding.
Like all addictions, it blocks everything and everyone else out. So I think that is what's happened with you.
I don't think it anything to do with hormones, not unless you've been using steroids. But if you are genuinely worried, it's time to start weaning yourself off the gym. Talk to a qualified fitness instructor and do it slowly.
Q I KNOW people have problems with their mums-in-law but the bane of my life is my wife's sister. She's here so often I am thinking of charging her rent.
She either treats me like a chauffeur or ignores me. She's currently without a boyfriend, so expects my wife to go out and get drunk with her two or three times a week. I am sick to death of her. But I can't say a word against her because my wife gets upset if I do.
We've only been married for six months, so is it wrong of me to want to have my wife on my own?
A OF course, it's not wrong. But it's getting your wife to understand that, once you're married, you can't carry on as if you were still single.
She's also got to appreciate you take precedence over everyone else.
You're her family now. So, it's serious talk time. Hopefully, it's a temporary phase while she adjusts to marriage. I hope so - not just for your sake but for her liver's. Getting drunk three times a week is a health risk. Tell her that, too.
