Arnold Schwarzenegger terminates electric bulbs if anyone leaves the lights on in his house, according to his daughter Katherine.
The California Governor's eldest child has revealed that the actor is very strict when it comes to running his home.
The 20-year-old told US Glamour magazine: 'My dad is such a conservationist, if we leave a light on in our room, there's punishment.
'He takes the bulb out.'
The University of Southern California student still lives at home with her movie star dad, 63, and mum, journalist Maria Shriver, 54, plus siblings Christina, 19, Patrick, 17, and Christopher, 13, and assorted pets including a miniature pony and a pot-bellied pig called Bacon.
Katherine is set to follow in her mum's footsteps and have a book published.
Rock What You've Got – which hits US book shops next month – is aimed at teens who have a low self-esteem and poor body image.
She said: 'I want to encourage girls and their mothers to bond over the information I put in this book, because it can spark conversation between them and hopefully build stronger and better relationships.”
She added: 'I'm fortunate enough to have an amazing relationship with my mother and I think that is what really helped me.”
