The 15th Annual Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic drew about 80,000 visitors -- even in the country's eighth-fattest city.
Ticket sales were up 12 percent from 2002, when Columbus was considered the country's sixth fattest city. The new ranking was given in January by Men's Fitness Magazine.
The classic ran from Friday to Sunday, and featured events such as the Arnold Fitness Expo, the World Martial Arts Games and the Arnold Cheerleading Classic.
According to the Greater Columbus Convention Center, which hosted the event, it had an economic impact of about $73 million.
