Bodybuilders pick pool for SPGDate: 03-01-2003

The Fiji Bodybuilding Association has selected a pool of 21 bodybuilders from where they would choose the final squad for this year’s South Pacific Games.
FBA secretary, Mosese Gaunavou said the athletes were picked on performance.
“These bodybuilders were picked from the Mr Fiji Championship that was held in Nadi last year, also in the team are bodybuilders who represented Fiji to Samoa for the South Pacific Bodybuilding Championship last year,” Gaunavou said.
“We are going for the six gold medals for bodybuilding in the Games, but at the moment we are quite confident that three gold medals will be in the bag during the Games and the bodybuilders to get the gold medals for us are Noa Ceinaturaga, John Goulding, Poniliti Radua,” Gaunavou said.
Other medal prospects in the squad include Yasawa man Ben Saqata and Tailevu’s Jolame Rasoga.
“These two bodybuilders have shown consistency in their preparations,” Gaunavou said.
