Bodybuilding dream realisedDate: 10.06.2003 Posted by: Anabolic Info Team New Zealand
Timaru bodybuilder De-Anne Thin's dream of competing in a world championship will be a reality in less than a week.
Thin flies out to Spain on Tuesday to compete in the World Body Building Championships in Palma Del Condada.
It has not been an easy road as her selection in the New Zealand team of four in April has meant she has had to maintain her condition as well as complete a rigorous training regime.
The bodybuilder retained her South Island Pro-Am championship title at the Christchurch Classics and impressed the judges enough to make the team.
Thin said it had been a struggle for the intervening six weeks but she was looking forward to the championships.
"It's been a bit of a battle but I've done it."
Thin said going to Spain was an unknown quantity and she was somewhat apprehensive.
"I've got no idea what we will find when we get there as not all the events are as well run as the New Zealand ones."
