“It was always going to match the success of our July/August issue, but the industry seems to continue growing,” says Andrew Carruthers, Editor-in-Chief at Muscle Evolution. “Traditionally, our September/October issue is the biggest of the year as the everyone starts their summer conditioning programmes and the supplement companies vie for top of mind awareness. And true to form our clients have come to the party once again, allowing us to publish another 112 page magazine.”
The September/October edition features top local athlete, Carlos Nunes, on cover, who gives Muscle Evolution an exclusive in-depth look at his preparations for the provincial and national championships. “We go back to bodybuilding nutrition basics in this magazine and offer readers the ultimate back workout programme,” continues Carruthers. Other key features in this issue includes a feature on IFBB Bikini pro athlete, Leigh Brandt; a profile on Kwa-Zulu Natal's Joe Manjoo; and a look at the powerful sleep plays in muscle recovery. “We also have the most comprehensive bodybuilding show coverage, with five shows covered in this magazine”, concludes Carruthers.
