FASANOC receives only five nominations

FASANOC has so far received only 5 nominations for the Athlete of the Year award as nominations closed yesterday.

Former Marist Brothers High School Javelin throw GOLD MEDALLIST, Leslie Copeland looks favourite to walk away with the award.

Copeland took part in the World Junior Athletics championship last year and recorded his personal best time and is a top medal prospect at this year's Pacific Games.

Other athletes nominated are Ben Saqata from Bodybuilding, Calvin Prasad from Chess and IIiesa Delana and Ranjesh Prakash who are the members of Fiji Sports Association for the Disabled.

The FASANOC Sports Awards will be held on 24th of this month.
