Eden resident and former world natural body building champion, Fay Hammarstrom is completing her final preparations for the Dubbo International event to be held on Saturday February 22.
The Dubbo event, which will attract competitors from all over the Australasia region, is a qualifier for the prestigious Pan Pacifics, which will take place in Auckland, New Zealand in late August.
Fay, who has been training for 15 years and competing for 12 years, took a year off after winning two gold medals in the 2001 World Natural Olympia Bodybuilding Championships in Hawaii, and moved to Eden from Jindabyne in July last year.
She is hoping to do very well this weekend and represent Australia at the Pan Pacifics.
"My main goal this year would have to be the Forever Natural World Championships, which will be held in the US later this year, but that will all depend on how things go this year," Fay said.
Forever Natural refers to a body builder who has never used performance enhancing drugs of any kind, a status which Fay takes very seriously and with deserved pride.
