His nickname is bulletproof but his stories of how he was shot appear to be riddled with holes.
On Thursday, I-Team 10 reported how Rochester Police were angry that nationally known local bodybuilder George Farah was trying to sell himself as a former police officer shot in the line duty.
Now I-Team 10 has uncovered another interview with Farah with a slightly different tale of how he was shot.
we found an online interview that farah did in 2009 with pro bodybuilding weekly.
On this interview, he makes more references to joining the police force. But in an even more outrageous claim, this time he says he killed a 15 year old.
George Farah of Webster is a nationally accomplished bodybuilder. But his reputation could be at stake after allegations that he embellished his background and the nature of injuries he suffered in a shooting.
Now, another interview has surfaced in which Farah again appears to be flexing the facts.
On Thursday, the union representing Rochester Police officers held a news conference to demand an apology from Farah for things he said in this video testimonial on the website of a national vitamin and supplement company.
Rochester Police Locust Club President Mike Mazzeo said, “We're angered and insulted that this individual's fraudulent account portraying himself as a police officer shot in the line of duty."
Farah was the victim of a shooting on Ringle Street in the city along with another man back in august of 1997. But there was no bank robbery and Farah was never a police officer.
In the interview, Farah says a gunman approached as he was leaving a store, the attacker shot him in the kidney at close range. Farah says he then took matters into his own hands and makes the stunning claim that he shot a 15 year old. “So I turn around, followed the guy, took his gun and then I end up shooting another kid, you know, which is sad because it's not something that's nice, to kill another 15 years old kid, whatever."
Farah says he was then shot by two other men who were attacking him.
I-Team 10 has obtained a copy of the initial police report from the 1997 shooting. Nowhere is there any account of Farah firing a gun. And there are no reports that a 15 year old was shot let alone killed in a gun-fight. In the report a witness says the shooting occurred during a dice game.
Farah's account is more like something out of an action movie. “And I'm just shooting everything that moves…cars...I didn't care. I didn't trust nothing."
Farah is not commenting. He has referred I-Team 10 to his attorney. His attorney declined an on-camera interview but says it's his understanding that Farah did apply to the Rochester Police Department but admits he never went through the academy.
He was unaware of his client ever shooting anyone for any reason.
