Arizona State University student Sean Pollock, overall men’s winner of the
November 2002 NPC Western Regional, will give a free lecture about competitive bodybuilding at noon on Mon., Feb. 10, at ASU East’s Physical Activity Center (formerly Williams AFB) in Mesa. Maria Cervigni, 2002 NPC women’s middleweight champion, joins Pollock in the presentation. The lecture is the first in a series of eight-week bodybuilding seminars coordinated by ASU graduate student and natural bodybuilding professional Nancy Howe.
“I plan to present an uncensored view of the whole story, so novices can hear what it really takes, and the benefits and risks associated with competition today,” said Pollock.
Howe said, "My hope is that students interested in competing will arm themselves with accurate information so they can act wisely as consumers in their dealings with personal trainers, and on the internet.”
The eight-week seminar series by Howe is $40 and will meet Wednesday, noon to 1 p.m.
