Iranian powerlifters win five Asian medals

Four powerlifters of Iran took two gold, one silver, and two bronze medals in the Asian competitions held in
Kazakhstan.
Fourteen teams competed in different age categories and Iran finished fifth in the team competitions.
Kazakhstan ranked first and the two teams of India and Taiwan stood second and third respectively.
The Iranian flag was hoisted as the undisputed champion of the country, Mehrab Fatemi, snatched the glittering gold in +125 kg class.
According to Fatemi, Farshid Soltani representing Iran in 82 kg finished runner-up and took the silver.
In 110 kg, Mehdi Fatemi managed to add a bronze medal to Iran's asset.
Iranian powerlifter Mani Khosravi won a bronze medal in 75 kg and took the coveted gold in the veterans' (40-45 years) competitions.

Six sturdy powerlifters of Iran are training for the world event and three will qualify for the supermen's contests.
Mehrab Fatemi, Mohammad Qaraei, and Hossein Fatemi are among the six beefy men.
