Kamloops bodybuilders compete in DenverDate: 06.06.2007

Kamloops athlete Roseanne Desmarais placed first in her weight class and won best physique overall at the Vyotech Shawn Ray Pro/Am Classic in Denver, Col. last weekend.
She competed in the lightweight NPC Amateur Division, in a competition that is the third largest in North America.
Her husband, Mike Desmarais, placed fifth in the amateur heavyweight class.
This was the first major competition for the couple, who have competed in the B.C. provincial championship the last few years.
The competition attracted bodybuilders from the U.S. and as far away as Italy, Russia, Serbia, Austria, England, Argentina, Finland, and Venezuela. |
