Musclemen from Y.K. Gym to the fore

MANGALORE : Bodybuilders from Y.K. Gym, Mangalore bagged the team championship in the junior and senior categories in the Dakshina Kannada District-level bodybuilding championships for the Mr. D.K. 2006 title, organised by Win Sports, Mangalore under the aegis of Dakshina Kannada District Bodybuilding Association, here on Saturday.
Ashley Lewis (Bodytone, Mangalore) and Santhosh Kumar (Zen Gym, Suratkal) were declared `Mr. D.K. 2006' and `Best Poser' respectively in the junior category. Ganesh Shenoy of Bodytone was declared `Mr. D.K. 2006' in the senior category. Ravikumar, and Jagadish received the same titles in master and handicapped category respectively.

Juniors: 55kg: Satish (Bodytone), 60kg: Arun Shetty (Y.K.), 65kg: Ashley (Bodytone), 70kg: Sagar (Bodytone), 75kg: Mitesh (Win Multigym, Farangipete), 75+ kg: Sudhakar Shetty (Y.K.).
Seniors: 55kg: Satish (Bodytone), 60kg: Arun Shetty (Y.K.), 65kg: Ashley (Bodytone), 70kg: Santhosh Kumar (Zen Gym, Suratkal), 75kg: Anand S. (Y.K.), 80kg: Pradeep Kumar (K.L. Bodytone, Mangalore), 80+kg: Ganesh Shenoy (Bodytone).
Masters (40-years): 70kg: Om Shiv Kotian (Zen Gym), 70+kg: Jayanna C.A. (Body Zone, Bondel), 50+kg: Ravikumar (Bodytone).
Handicapped: Jagadish (Ramanjaneya Vyayama Shaale, Adyar-Padavu).
