Pak bodybuilder sets record of winning five titlesDate: 23.05.2007

A Pakistani bodybuilder has set a new record by winning titles in a current month in England in the competitions organised by National Amateur Bodybuilding Association (NABA).
" Top musclemen from Europe and other countries participated in these events held in various parts of England from April 21 to May 13 this year",said Masoom Butt at a news conference here on Wednesday.
The titles he won included, Mr International,Pro-Am Oscars, Mr Titan Show, Sci-Mentor Pro-AN Classic and Caledonian Pro Am Classic.
" No Pakistani has ever won that number of titles before and it is a great honour for me and my country ",he said.
Masoom said he won the (Mr Asia title) at an age of 21 being the youngest ever muscleman in 1993 in Singapore and in the same year he finished fourth in the World Championship.
He gave up bodybuilding in 1995 owing to financial constraints as this sport involves huge finances for diet and preparations.
" In 2003 I again started bodybuilding and did trainingabroad on and off and it was the result of sheer hard work and training under the guidance of a foreign trainer that finally I was able to win a record number of five titles ",he said.
Masoom Butt said he is now preparing to compete in Mr Universe competition which will be held later this year in England with world's finest musclemen taking part.
" My trainer and bodybuilder friends have termed me favourite to win the title because of my healthy muscle and physique",said the tiny bodybuilder who specially posed for the photographers displaying his extra ordinary healthy muscles and physique.
Masoom at the age of 34 believes that his ultimate dream is to win the title of Mr Olympia in next three to four years time.
" In professional bodybuilding there is no bar of age and there is no practice of going dope testing but I am ready to undergo any sort of drug-related test to prove that I am free from any muscle enhancing drugs ",he said.
Masoom Butt said in Pakistan bodybuilding was at the verge of disaster with no musclemen in light to win medals for the country event at junior asia level.
He blamed concerned authorises (national bodybuilding federation) for not promoting the game among youngsters and said efforts and financial assistance is needed to motivate youth to take up this expensive sport.
" We are rich in talent and if I can win Mr Junior and Mr Asia title at a very young age why not the other Pakistani can do it, of course they can do provided they have most modern training and financial assistance , and it is the duty of the concerned authorities to encourage exceptional bodybuilding talent ",he maintained.
