Miss the Cherry Creek Arts festival? Check out a different art form - it's sculpted, hard, inspiring and very tan - the human body. Art enthusiasts can appreciate beautiful women's physiques competing in "figure" as well as check out the huge muscles of the men competing in the "bodybuilding" at this year's NPC Colorado State Championships. Will you appreciate this art? It's like Cirque du Soleil but cheaper and admittedly, not as many flips and random umbrellas.
If you're looking to save money, come to Teikyo Loretto Height's Theater in the morning for prejudging where the athletes are examined by the judges. Go to the night show, if you like to people watch, see individual performances with music and check out the IFBB Pro Bodybuilder, Quincy Taylor. Ever seen a bicep as big as your head? The night show begins at 5 p.m. for figure and 7 p.m. for bodybuilding. Tickets for the night show range from $17 - $57. Tickets and more information are available at www.jefftaylor.com .
