Saqata tones up for fifth titleDate: 16.12.2006 Posted by: Anabolic Info Team
FOUR-time and reigning Mr Fiji Ben Saqata will be out to defend his title at the Fiji Bodybuilding Championships in Nadi today.
Polishing up his moves at the Nausori gym yesterday, the bodybuilding perfectionist said he is determined to take out his fifth consecutive title.
"Having reigned over the years will not be taken lightly as I'm expecting to face some regular bodybuilders," he said.
"It's always nice to have competition and most of them have been preparing well."
Saqata said apart from the older faces, they expect some new competitors at the championships.
Regular competitors, the likes of Saimoni Cagilaba, Pio Cavuilati Junior, Apakuki Tuitavua and Herman Nand, will be out to secure a place in the squad for the upcoming Pacific Games in Apia.
"This championship will serve as the first trial for the Apia Games so competition will be quite high," he said.
The second championship and final trial will be held in April next year where an eight-member training squad will be selected.
A good turnout is expected as competition starts at the Hotel Kennedy Hall at noon today. |
