Schwarzenegger Says He Learned In OfficeDate: 06.01.2007 Posted by: Anabolic Info Team Romania
As he was sworn in Friday for his first full term as California governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger admitted he made mistakes in his early days in Sacramento.
The former bodybuilding champion and movie star hobbled to the podium on crutches -- the result of breaking his leg while skiing. He set them aside while he took the oath of office, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Schwarzenegger addressed 3,000 invited guests at the Memorial Auditorium in Sacramento, saying he adopted "the wrong approach" during and after the recall election that made him governor. He said he learned the virtues of "post-partisanship."
"The question is not what are the needs of the Republicans or Democrats," Schwarzenegger said. "The real question is the needs of our people. We don't need Republican roads or Democratic roads. We need roads. We don't need Republican healthcare or Democratic healthcare. We need healthcare. We don't need Republican or Democratic clean air. We all breathe the same air."
