True to his catchphrase, Arnold Schwarzenegger -- the action movie star -- will be back.
The former California governor will return to the big screen with "The Last Stand," his first movie role since "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines" in 2003.
Lionsgate, the studio bankrolling the movie, did not announce a release date.
Schwarzenegger, a naturalized U.S. citizen from Austria who gained fame as the youngest winner of the Mr. Universe bodybuilding contest, served two full terms as governor until January.
Since then, he has been busy reviving his acting career and signing movie deals -- including plans for another installment of the "Terminator" series. But in May, he said he was putting his return in the backburner after acknowledging he fathered a child outside of his marriage.
Following the revelation, his Maria Shriver, filed papers this month to end their 25-year marriage.
In the "Last Stand," directed by Korean filmmaker Kim Jee-woon, Schwarzenegger will play a small-town sheriff who is forced to intervene in the capture of a notorious drug kingpin who escapes from an FBI prisoner convoy.
