Well, well, would you believe it..
ACTOR Sylvester Stallone faces a fine of up to L9000 after admitting taking bodybuilding drugs into Australia.
But his lawyer insisted the muscleman star of Rocky and Rambo needed the banned human growth hormone and testosterone for "medical purposes".
Stallone, 60, had been due to face the court in Sydney yesterday via video link to admit importing drugs.
The court decided that was not necessary and barrister Phillip Boulten apologised to the court on his behalf.
But Mr Boulten did not explain why the Hollywood superstar threw the vials out of his hotel window when Customs officers raided his room. They landed in a garden box below and were retrieved.
The barrister told the court: "This is not some back-alley bodybuilder dealing covertly with some banned substance in some sort of secret way. ACTOR Sylvester Stallone faces a fine of up to L9000 after admitting taking bodybuilding drugs into Australia.

The barrister told the court: "This is not some back-alley bodybuilder dealing covertly with some banned substance in some sort of secret way.
"This was a legitimate medical condition being treated by doctors of the top-ranking order in the west coast of the United States."
The lawyer also insisted Stallone, who admitted importing 48 vials of human growth hormone and possessing testosterone, did not know he was breaking the law in Australia.
Describing the star's most famous character Rocky as a role model who was highly regarded by millions, Mr Boulten said Stallone had a continuing stance against the use of illegal drugs.
Deputy chief magistrate Paul Cloran will sentence Stallone on Monday.
Stallone made international headlines over his clash with Customs when he arrived in Sydney to promote the latest instalment of the Rockysaga, Rocky Balboa, in February.
The officers searched his bags at the airport and discovered five boxes of Jintropin - a brand name for the human growth hormone somatropin.
The court heard Stallone had filled out an incoming passenger card before his arrival, but circled "no" next to the section which asked if he was carrying prohibited goods such as steroids.
He then continued through Customs with the vials of Jintropin in his personal luggage, causing officers to follow him to raid his hotel.
