Stallone's hotel room and private plane raided by customsDate: 20.02.2007 Posted by: Anabolic Info Team India
Australian customs officials have raided the hotel room and private jet of Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone in Sydney amid reports that the "Rocky" star may have brought banned drugs into the country.
Yesterday's swoop came three days after the actor was detained after "prohibited items" were reportedly found in the luggage of his entourage at the Sydney airport, the Daily Telegraph reported.
The seized items were believed to be bodybuilding drugs or human growth hormone that are banned in Australia, the report said.
Stallone, who is in the country to promote his film "Rocky Balboa", had said after the airport incident that claims he had imported steroids were "totally hot air."
"I just made a mistake...I misunderstood a few things and we are going through the process."
Officials, who had visited the actor's room in Sydney's harbourside to issue him with a summons to answer charges on the prohibited substances, proceeded with their raid after members of his entourage were reportedly seen throwing items out of the window.
It was not clear what customs were able to recover from the Park Hyatt hotel room.
"There is a range of options we can pursue in these circumstances..the investigation is going on and we are aware of Mr Stallone's movements," an official said.
Customs, however, said Stallone would be allowed to leave the country. |
