U.S. House of Representatives Gets Serious About Its Own FitnessDate: 27.06.2003 Posted by: Anabolic Info Team United States
For years Gold's Gym has been the official gym of bodybuilders, movie stars and professional athletes. Now, it's the official gym of our nation's legislators.
In a move that signifies Congress's increased efforts to get serious about its own fitness, the U.S. House of Representatives has awarded Gold's Gym International with a fitness contract that makes it the exclusive gym of House legislators and their staffs.
"No matter what your party, it all starts here," stated Gene LaMott, CEO of Gold's Gym International. "Staying in shape is critical to meeting the physical demands of Capitol Hill, and the health of our nation's legislators is important to the country as a whole. We're thrilled that the House has chosen Gold's to help achieve its fitness goals."
Under the terms of the contract, lawmakers and their staffs will have full access to Gold's Gyms throughout the Washington D.C. area. Along with their memberships, lawmakers and their staffs will have access to the most cutting edge equipment and facilities in the industry, as well as a legacy of serious fitness that spans back to 1965.
"Physical fitness is needed to keep our people in good health," said U.S. Representative Robert Ney (R-Ohio), Chairman of the House Administration Committee. "I believe the entire staff of the House of Representatives deserves this."
