Kota Kinabalu: Defending champion Yong Chee Ken (pic) proved his billing when he retained the Mr Sabah title at this year's bodybuilding championship held at KDCA Hall in Penampang on Friday night.
The 22-year-old beat 21 other contestants and en route to his win, Yong also picked up the Best Poser title and the middleweight category title beating Geinod Lozitin and Asyraf Akhmal Abdullah took into second and third spot respectively.
In the flyweight category, Maclean Joseph won top spot followed by Sulaiman Tuah and Moren Dungol in second and third spot.
In the light flyweight event, Jerome Gundalam took top spot followed by Abdul Mat Sali while Alex Sulaiman.
In the bantamweight category, William Amro won top place followed by Rene Esquerra and Eustachius Koupin in second and third spot respectively.
For the lightweight event, Henro Lee beat Johnny Said and Patrick Dayun to win top honours.
In the welterweight event, Kasmin Tiangson won top spot beating Mark Allan Mogindol and Nazrin Ali Hassan into second and third position respectively.
As for the light middleweight section, Abdul Samad Lawi earned top marks after beating Mohd Faizal Garukan and Yusuf Laweda.
In the junior (Under-21) category, Jumiyatus Shamsuddin beat Ronnie Blasius and Jeinis Akim.
As for the Masters event, Simbun Jimbun took top honours after he beat Alid Tong and Mastili Galimon.
The Most Improved Bodybuilder title was won by Kasmin Tiangson. |
